Snagging and Handover Service

If you are thinking about leasing property in London, you may be considering buying a new build apartment in a development. These offer a high standard of accommodation and great facilities so are very popular with tenants. But if you are based overseas, it can be difficult to be on site when you complete your purchase to ensure that all snagging issues are taken care of.

Taking the hassle out of buying a property to lease

To solve this problem, we offer a complete snagging service for landlords who cannot be present at the time of handover, either because they are overseas or maybe just because they do not have the time to undertake this important task in person.

Your own, dedicated property manager

You will be appointed a property manager to take care of any issues that arise while you are buying the property you plan to lease. The manager will contact the developer to arrange a snagging appointment - at this appointment, your property manager will examine the property in detail, taking note of any defects or snagging issues that the developer needs to rectify. The property manager will also take down details of utility companies (gas, electric and water) and take meter readings. The number of keys handed over will also be recorded for you.

Taking care of all snagging issues

When all the relevant information has been put together, the property manager will compile a full report, taking photos where necessary and send to you with a list of all the remedial works that need to be completed by the developer. All these issues will be followed up by the property manager until they have been completed by the developer.

If you have chosen to use our furnishing or interior design service, a member of the design team will also attend the meeting to take measurements for curtains and other fittings.

Preparing your property for marketing

Photos of the property will also be taken and property details noted so that marketing can begin as soon as possible.
