Landlord Property Accounting/Taxing London

Collecting rent can be one of the most problematic areas for an overseas landlord. Our accounts department is fully computerised; we collect and account for rent as directed by you. In addition to this, we can provide you with tax-related financial advice to help you obtain the maximum benefits from your tax allowances and circumstances.

All rental income earned from properties owned within the UK is subject to UK income tax and landlords are required to submit an annual self-assessment tax return to HM Revenue & Customs, which declares their income and any taxes that are payable.

As an overseas landlord with property in London, completing this tax return can be complex and time consuming. At B&R,we offer a comprehensive service, preparing the annual accounts, completing the tax return and advising on required payments on account, all of which is necessary every year.

This process is overseen by our Finance Director, Vidhur Mehra (BSc ACA) who, having qualified from BDO Stoy Hayward, a large International firm of Chartered Accountants, is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales.

With all the information required at our fingertips, we are able to prepare your return with minimal involvement from you and of course, with our existing relationship this simply becomes an extension of our role in managing your London property.

Please note that our service is limited to preparing returns based on rental income from properties that we manage in the UK. However, we are happy to discuss your individual requirements and provide comprehensive advice about tax on property in other regions.
